After every fall to spring season, there are going to be trees down on the trail. Some may have fallen due to beetle kill, past fires, or wind-blown. Whatever the case may be, please let us know when you are out on a trail this season.
Provide us with how big and how many were down and where on a map they were. If you have GPS coordinates, that would be okay too! We will take this information and supply it to the local Forest Service district offices to make them aware of the situation. Simply click on “Contact Us” to submit your information. Maps/photos can be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
We can all work together on making sure these trees get cleared off the trail, so people and livestock stay on the trail. Reroutes can cause resource damage. Depending on how many or how big a down tree is, the reroute could also make your trip longer.
