Lloyd Meadow Road Partially Opened

As of Friday, May 4th, the Lloyd Meadow Road (22S82) is partially opened. One Lane is still closed but the other is open. Please drive with caution as potential traffic heading in the opposite direction will be using that lane until the road is completely open.

Lloyd Meadow Road provides access to Jerkey Meadow Trailhead and Forks of the Kern. Users can now access the Golden Trout Wilderness on the Sequoia National Forest side. Use the map above if you are not familiar where the road is within the Forest. Thanks to the Forest Service for the map!

A heads up for all those wanting to take the Long Meadow Trail up to Summit Lake in the Golden Trout Wilderness. Mountain Home and Balch Parks are supposed to have their roads open early this year! May 17th is the estimated opening date. As the date gets closer they will know for sure.
