A recent trail report mentions several trees down between the Golden Trout Wilderness and Park boundaries, near the Kern River Station, and Kern Lake. These do not necessarily cause a problem for hikers, i.e. barriers to climb over, as the re-routes are clearly visible to get around the trees.. In some cases the trees have been down for so long it is hard to notice the original trail. Users tried to move some by hand, but most could not be moved. A big thank you for trying to move some of those fallen trees. Returning users back to the original path instead of a re-route maintains the integrity of the wilderness trail system.
