Heads up to everyone thinking of going out to into the wilderness this weekend. There is a storm front moving in and it could bring snow. Friday has the greatest chance, 60% as of this post, with it potentially starting Thursday night through Saturday. Below is an excerpt from the Weather Service..
SNOW LEVELS WILL FALL TO NEAR 3500 FEET FRIDAY...WITH SNOW ACCUMULATIONS FROM 4 TO 6 INCHES IN THE SOUTHERN SIERRA FROM KINGS CANYON TO YOSEMITE. ACCUMULATIONS WILL BE MUCH LESS FROM SEQUOIA PARK SOUTH...AND LITTLE IF ANY ACCUMULATION IN THE TEHACHAPI MOUNTAINS. HOWEVER MOTORISTS PLANNING TRAVEL THURSDAY NIGHT AND FRIDAY OVER THE KERN COUNTY PASSES SHOULD KEEP ABREAST OF THE LATEST FORECASTS AND ROAD CONDITIONS.
