The Western Divide Highway and Parker Pass on the Sequoia National Forest are now closed as of 11/9/2012. Although these roads do not directly affect access to the Summit, Lewis Camp, and Jerkey Meadows Trailheads, the closures require users accessing the Jerkey Meadows Trailhead to now drive up through Kernville for access. No word yet on the North Road or Sherman Pass road. It is possible to have the recent snow melt off the roads too. Please plan accordingly and call one of the offices to get the latest information before departing on your trip.
