An Early Season?

For those of you who are waiting for the summer backpacking season to start, then it may come sooner than most people think. Temperatures are warmer then normal around here which has an impact on the snow pack in the Sierra Nevada mountains. Check out this local newspaper article regarding rainfall and the snow pack in the local area.

If things don’t improve, remember to plan accordingly for dryer conditions. Seasonal flowing streams may dry up earlier as a result. We may see a similar outdoor season this year as we did last year.
