Fire Restrictions Reduced on Sequoia NF

The Sequoia National Forest released a Forest Order, No. 13-14, regarding fire restrictions. Fire restrictions have been reduced back to “designated areas.” This means you can now have a camp fire within the Golden Trout Wilderness! Perfect timing for those cool fall weather backpacking trips.

The Forest Order No. 13-14 is effective starting September 26, 2013, through the end of the official 2013 fire season. Please see the following PDF document for other designated areas where you may have a camp fire. Be safe and remember to Leave No Trace!
