Wildfire: North Fire Morning Update

Here is the latest news regarding the North Fire from InciWeb. It is located near the Jacobsen Trail. The morning report goes as follows:

The North Fire was discovered late in the day on Wednesday June 10th burning in a lightning-struck tree northeast of Wishon Campground on the Western Divide Ranger District in Giant Sequoia National Monument, Sequoia National Forest. Crews hiked into the fire on June 11th and were able to secure the perimeter to slow the spread of the fire. The Fire is 1/4 acre in size with heavy fuels in the middle that will take a few days for firefighters to extinguish completely. A map of the fire can be found on this site under the maps tab.

Will try to keep updates posted regarding the wildfire, but you can always check out the information first hand at the North Fire InciWeb site. The site could have photos and maps of the fire as well as contact information should you require more information.
