Wildfire Update: Grey Fire Increases in Size

The lightning caused Grey Fire is now at 18 acres according to officials reporting on InciWeb. Here are a couple excerpts from the full news release that may be of most importance to hikers. Read the full version here.

…As of noon on July 5th, the “Grey Fire” is the largest at 18 acres, and is burning near Grey Meadow in the Golden Trout Wilderness approximately 15 miles northeast of Springville on the Western Divide Ranger District….

…At this time there are no trail or road closures in the Western Divide Ranger District due to the Grey Fire….
