In case you live out of the area and have not seen the news regarding the weather in California, we have been getting a lot of rain and snow. How much exactly? Well for the Golden Trout Wilderness specifically, we are well above normal. As of February 1, we are sitting at 271% of normal! The snow pack has not been about double the average norm since the year prior to the drought. Lets hope this continues as the wilderness, let alone the state, could use more water for the reservoirs and groundwater recharging.
