Video: 3 Days and 2 Nights

3 Days and 2 Nights Into the Western Side of GTW

A group of people head into the western side of the Golden Trout Wilderness. They set up a base camp, do a day hike on the second day, and then head out the third day. Do you recognize any of the areas they travel to? Enjoy.

hey, this area is closed to the public. which trailhead did they use and with whose authority? i have permission to be there but i am not aware of any other private property owners that are accessing the golden trout through Lloyd meadow of Lewis trailheads. just us and the cattle. just saying, your group may be breaking the forest service rules

Hello budmayfield. That is correct that anyone beyond Feb. 2021 to Dec. 2021 entering certain parts of the wilderness would be breaking the rules. The only info observed for the video is the trip took place on May 23 to 25. The year is uncertain. The publish date is May 31, 2021, but that does not necessarily mean that is the actual date when the video was recorded. The areas where they went, based on the video, look very green and alive and well. It does not look like they are hiking through the castle fire. Therefore I assume it is in 2020 and not 2021.

GTW is not affiliated with these folks but only sharing what is posted on YouTube. If you think these users are in violation, I would recommend contacting the USFS and providing with the link to the video.
