It seemed like only a matter of time with such little snow and rainfall. A Forest Service road is now open for the season. The Lloyd Meadow Road (FS 22S82) is now open from Johnsondale up to Jerkey Meadow Trailhead on the Sequoia National Forest side. Since the Lloyd Meadow road is now open, the assumption is the road to the Forks of the Kern Trailhead would open soon too.
